2012 Season Tryouts

2011 Try Outs - UPDATE

Bill Meyer League (U10, U12, U14) try-outs will be on Saturday and Sunday November 19 -20 at Feeney park. Times to still be determined.. All registration paperwork including payment will be due no later than December 1 to League Registrar Jeremy Dente.

The Bill Meyer Winter League are District 8 Paper Teams for boys and girls in the U10 through U14 age group that allow players to participate in a higher level of soccer than played in the fall recreational season. Leagues can use it as a building block for their competitive teams (although established boys and girls competitive teams are not permitted to play). Players are only eligible if they:

1.) were currently registered players for the fall recreational season.
 
2.) have not played on a CYSA Class I/II/III team during the 2010-11  season.
 
3.) no new player registration is allowed for this league.
 

Jim Frazier League (U17, U19)  will try-out on Sunday October 17 & Sunday October 23 at Feeney Park. Times to still be determined. All paperwork & fees due to Jeremy Dente by November 1. The Jim Frazier League is a District 8 traveling league for Under-17 and Under-19 boys and girls. It is for high school age players not on a CYSA Class 1 team in the current seasonal year.

WHO IS ELIGIBLE TO PLAY?

1.)  Current CYSA players or new players are eligible to play

2.) A maximum of six Kaercher League players may register on the same team

3.) Leagues may move up U-14 players only if they are in high school. Proof of attendance required.

4.) U-14 players in the current season Bill Meyer League are not eligible.

EPYSL holds try outs each year for its Division 4 Winter League travel teams. These tryouts are generally held in November each year following the conclusion of recreational league play.  Playing in the recreational league is a prerequisite to participating in the competitive league.  Tryouts are typically held at Feeeney RAIN OR SHINE the weekend following our season ending tournament.

What to bring to try-outs:

  • Prepared to play soccer at try-outs
  • Completed CYSA Youth Reg Form 1601
  • School photo
  • Birth certificate

What is the season schedule like?:

  • Practices are generally 2 times a week.
  • Teams be practicing at Bret Hart Mondays and Wednesday from 3:45-5:45.
  • There generally is two or three practices before Christmas. No practices take place Christmas/New Years week.
  • The first game is generally around the second weekend in January.
  • The season ends around mid-March with a tournament. We play 2 games each Saturday.
