EPYSL referees are adults and young adults who love soccer. Many of the young adults you see on the field grew up playing soccer for EPYSL and continue to enjoy the game. Refereeing can be a great way to earn supplemental income and stay physically in shape while participaing in the game of soccer.

EPYSL will host another Grade 8 referee course for incoming referees this summer. A Grade 8 license is required before you may work as a referee for the League.

USSF Grade 8 Referee
The Grade 8 clinic consists of a total of eighteen (18) hours of instruction. Attendance at all sessions is required for successful completion of the course. Upon successful completion of the course, candidates may register as Grade 8 Referees with the United States Soccer Federation for a registration fee.
USSF Grade 9 Recreational Referee
The USSF Grade 9 Recreational Referee may officiate games as either a Referee or Assistant Referee on recreational youth games for under-14 and younger only. They may not officiate older ages, competitive youth matches (Class 1), or adult matches. For the latter matches, you must be at least a Grade 8 Referee. The Grade 9 clinic consists of a one-day eight-hour class. Upon successful completion of the course, candidates may register as Grade 9 Recreational Referees with the United States Soccer Federation for a registration fee.

The California North Referee Administration (CNRA) has contracted with GameOfficials.net to handle referee registration. This will include not only the USSF Registration and clinic registration for referees but also online training and testing.
Referees who are registered with the United States Soccer Federation (USSF) must renew their registration annually through CNRA. National, Professional and International Referees must renew through the USSF National Office with the collaboration of the State Referee Administrator. Any Referee not current in their registration shall not be assigned future matches until re-registration requirements have been met.

To recertify DO NOT REGISTER with www.ussoccer.com as you have done in previous years. Instead, follow the instructions below:
All current referees have been issued a CNRA.GameOfficials.net UserName. Current referees will need their CNRA.GameOfficials.net UserName and Password to access the cnra.gameofficials.net registration system. To obtain your new Username and Pas.net/public/lostPassword.cfm and follow the instructions to obtain your username and password.
Sign in with your new username and password credentials at cnra.gameofficials.net, Sagree with the terms of service and complete the security questions.

On the bottom of this page, you will see "To Register for this Course, please Login Here." Click on the "Login Here" Link.
Click "Register Now" to complete the 2015 USSF Grade 8 Registration Renewal Process. You will be asked for a credit card to pay the annual $45 renewal fee. Upon payment, you will receive an immediate e-mail confirming your registration and providing you with a record of your transaction.
You will receive your new USSF Referee badge and card and a new USSF Laws of the Game book from the United States Soccer Federation between 8 - 12 weeks.
