EPYSL referees are adults and young adults who love soccer. Many of the young adults you see on the field grew up playing soccer in our programs and continue to enjoy the game.
All our referees have attended a rigourous training course and passed an exam. Please remember that our youth referees are most likely still being mentored by one of our adult referees. Just like players still learning the game, our referees are always learning too. If at any time you disagree with a game call, please remember to be respectful, follow game protocol, set an example on the field and at no time challenge or show disrespect to the referee during or after a game. If you have a problem with a referee decision, please contact a field marshall (Board Member of the Day - wearing an EPYSL red shirt) to discuss your concerns.
If you or your child(14 or older and at least a Freshman) is interested in becoming a referee please contact Karen Turner at soccerandgliiter@yahoo.com or 785-1467.
